Here’s what I have going into what I think of as the period of “real” development for this game.
Doesn’t look like much, but coming at it as I did from a dead stop, it represents a pretty big milestone for me:
- Working knowledge of language, tools, frameworks
- Integration with Box2d physics library (of the tiny part of the game implemented, obviously)
- Prototype of basic level storage, construction, and display system
This last is the really important one, as it means that I can draw new levels as PNG images, enabling me to prototype new areas of the game very rapidly. Much more on that to come!
